Spambite released their latest addition to the Spambite anit-spam suite today and added the Gatekeeper to its arsenal of solutions for fighting Spam mail on the Internet.
Spambite utilizes a patented solution of Email Name Severs (ENS) that work much like a DNS system does. These servers are responsible for maintaining all of the email addresses that exist on the Internet. Whenever an email server receives an email, these servers are queried to ask if the address is valid. Once validated the email is allowed to pass through to the user.
The Gatekeeper allows the Gateway appliances which are the link between the network and the email users, to constantly check a users mail box even when they are not around. This allows spam mail to continue to be removed from email servers hard drives as well as allowing the Spambite network to send out validation requests in a more real time fashion instead of waiting for a user to check their mail.
Stay tuned to this exciting new technology as it evolves into the solution for tomorrow.
